Klimber reaches one billion insurance packages issued with artificial intelligence at the core of its operation

A milestone that redefines the scale possible for an AI-native insurance operation: 5 billion transactions processed automatically, in 6 countries, with a team of just 160 people.

Buenos Aires, 16 July 2026 — Klimber announced today the issuance of its one billionth insurance package. The transaction was completed without human intervention: it was structured, priced, issued and activated by artificial intelligence in milliseconds, within a transaction the customer was already making on another platform.

A Klimber package includes at least one insurance policy and, in many cases, complementary assistance services and additional coverages, issued as a single unit. Counting every event in the lifecycle of those coverages, including issuance, premium collection, activation, renewal, claims and cancellation, the platform has already processed more than 5 billion insurance transactions, handled automatically by Klimber's technology.

A different operating model

That volume is managed by a team of 160 people, operating simultaneously in 6 countries and under 6 different regulatory frameworks. The team does not manage packages manually: it focuses on building the platform, deepening commercial partnerships and training the models that power the operation. Managing those packages, in real time and at scale, is left to artificial intelligence.

Behind this architecture is a design decision Klimber has held since its founding: the efficiency generated by technology is not retained as margin, but translated into price, speed and reach for the end user.

Real reach, not just technical scale

The billion packages issued represent concrete protection for more than 22 million people in the region, many of whom accessed insurance coverage for the first time in their lives. Among the cases the platform supports: a delivery rider in São Paulo covered for the exact duration of a delivery, a customer in Mexico City protected before a loan is confirmed, merchants in Uruguay, drivers in Chile and families in Colombia.

According to Klimber, this population had not been reached before not because of a lack of interest from the traditional insurance industry, but because of structural distribution limitations that an AI-native model makes it possible to overcome.

A decision about where efficiency goes

For Klimber, every point of efficiency generated by artificial intelligence opens a strategic question: it can be captured as margin or passed on to whoever buys the coverage. The company chose the second option from its founding, and considers it the foundation of its growth model.

That decision reflects a particular reading of the barriers to insurance access in Latin America. For years, the conversation about insurance inclusion focused on better products and simpler distribution channels. Klimber argues that, with that stage behind, the variable that determines whether a person accesses coverage is still cost, and that artificial intelligence is the first technology capable of acting directly on that variable at scale.

In that logic, the company does not describe AI as an internal optimization tool, but as a mechanism that redistributes value to the end user: lower prices, faster processes and coverage for segments that traditional distribution could not reach. Klimber argues that this is, ultimately, the question that should shape the insurance industry in the years ahead: not how much efficiency technology can generate, but who that efficiency is passed on to.

What's next

Klimber's first billion packages took around seven years. The company expects the next billion to be completed in significantly less time, in line with the growth of its distribution network and the maturing of its AI models, which continuously learn and adjust on the largest insurance behavior dataset in Latin America.
